My ideal application and tool (if ever)… is a thin paper like document that allows me to write my notes over it and store the information as a document (in jpeg, image format, or in a word processor format). The whole mechanism should be easily foldable, and should enable me to do simple wordprocessing and even net surfing (bonus!). This would be ideal for me… oh, and make sure the mechanism is backlitted, so that it works well at night too!
Sigh.
Yes, I know some PDA does fit the description, but seriously, the screen is way too small… and sometimes, it’s about the ability to draw and not only to type. Ah well… it is now at that time of the year again, as I look forward to the new year and ponder on the things which I should change:
I need to write more! Yes… writing is a very nice luxury. To think, sift and sort through ones mind and thoughts is an invaluable activity that brings much benefit to ones soul.
I was debating whether to get a PDA or a Laptop. But having seen the cost of both (some PDA really cost as much as a laptop), I think it is safe to say that I am considering a third option…
Yes, a simple notebook. The downside is that I have to actually write by hand. *Gasp!* The horror!
** Actually, that might be good since my handwriting is so horrible as it is, and this might force it to be better… groan
But the upside is that it is really really cheap, and you can never beat having the texture of paper in your hands and to see the ink on it. Ahhh…. but I notice that it is not too cheap too… a good notebook will cost anywhere near RM100.
